OPINION: Sports and political cliches
Let's see. On Sunday in Detroit the Red Wings won 4 to 3 before a full house of 20,066 to tie an NHL record for consecutive home wins. At the same time in Auburn Hills the Pistons lost 98 to 77 after being ahead 61 to 59 before an announced crowd of a little over 12,000, which a Detroit News columnist said seemed to be really about half of that.
